Hello Sherando Band Families
I’m Adam Stein, honored to serve as the Band Booster President for the 2025–2026 school year. As a proud Sherando Band alumnus and parent, it’s a joy to witness our students’ dedication and growth within this exceptional program.

Our band thrives not only because of talented students and dedicated staff but also due to the unwavering support from families like yours. The Sherando Band Booster Association exists solely to bolster the band’s endeavors. This is achieved through fundraising, volunteering, and by providing logistical support.
How You Can Get Involved
Your involvement, big or small, makes a significant impact. Here are some ways to contribute:
- Volunteer Your Time: Assist with events, chaperone trips, or help with equipment. Opportunities abound to fit various schedules and comfort levels.
- Donate Supplies: Our Amazon Wishlist features items essential for band camp and performances. Sharing this list with friends and family is a great way to gather support.
- Participate in Fundraisers: Join us for events like spirit nights, car washes, and our larger events. These not only raise funds but also strengthen our community bonds.
Upcoming Events During Summer 2025
- Spirit Night at JB’s Ice Cream Shoppe: Tuesday, June 10, 6–8 PM. Enjoy a treat and support the band as a portion of sales will be donated. This is a great opportunity to come out and meet other band parents, and members of the booster board!
- Summer Car Wash: Saturday, June 14 and July 19, at the Bank of Clarke in Stephens City. See our Band Calendar for Sign Up Links. We need parents and students to participate!
- Uniform Fittings: July 21–24. Ensure your student is ready for performances by scheduling a fitting session. Sign up schedule is available on the 2025 Band Camp page.
- Band Camp Begins: Monday, July 28. This intensive two-week camp is crucial for the marching season. Volunteers are needed for various roles—details will be shared via our newsletters and on our Band Camp page as we get closer to camp.
Stay Connected
- Monthly Booster Meetings: Held on the first Wednesday of each month at 7 PM in the band room. Our first meeting is on August 6th.
- Communication Platforms:
- Email Newsletters: Regular updates on events, volunteer opportunities, and more.
- Social Media: Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for the latest news and highlights. Feel free to share or repost anything you see there.
- Band App: Primarily used by our volunteers when the band is ‘on location’ at a competition or other event. We do also use this for things, such as emergent needs, and group discussion. Join the Sherando Band Booster Band App Channel. You can use your computer or phone for Band App communication.
