Through dance, flag, rifle, and sabre choreography, color guard performers in grades 8 through 12 will tell a visual story – while competing with other Virginia guards to advance to the Atlantic Indoor Winter Guard Finals in April.

Winter Guard is a team sport. It allows students to work with their peers, challenge themselves, enhance their communication and time management skills, and entertain audiences of all kinds. The Sherando High School Color Guard program has been active since 1993. The program has continued to grow throughout the years.

We participate in multiple events throughout the entire year, including:

  • Winchester & Middletown Holiday Parades
  • Winter Guard Contest Season
