It’s Marching Season!
1. 2024 – 2025 Band Fee Info
The Band Fee for the 2024-2025 school year is $150.00 + $43.00 for Shoes. The Fee will be broken out into two parts and you will be responsible for paying for both. Band Fees are due as soon as possible!
2. Volunteer Opportunities
See the list of immediate upcoming events where we will need Band Booster volunteers and support. Learn about areas where you can help and sign up as you are able. This is a great way to meet other band parents and have a lot of fun in the process!
3. 2025 Spring Trip Planning
We are excited to announce our Spring Trip for 2025 to Walt Disney World! We applied and were accepted as a performing band in the April 9th feature parade!

Order Forms & Payment Due: October 30, 2024
- Please submit all order forms with payment in an envelope, labeled with the student’s name and “KK,” into the black box in the band room by October 30.

Payment Options:
- Cash or Check only.
- Checks should be made payable to Sherando High School Band Boosters (SHSBBA).
- No electronic payments will be accepted.
Student Earnings:
Students earn 50% of the profits, which will be credited to their student accounts. These funds can be used to pay for the spring trip, as well as the indoor percussion or color guard season.
Pick-Up Details:
- Pick-Up Date: Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 10:15am – 11:30am
- Location: 114 Twigg Court, Stephens City
- Important: Students must pick up their orders (not the individuals who purchased from them).

Upcoming Community Events
2025 Sherando Showcase – Saturday, March 15, 2025
Sherando High School was selected and will host its third Atlantic Indoor Association(AIA) contest, Sherando Showcase, on Saturday, March 15, 2025. We are excited to bring a competition of this type to the Northern Shenandoah Valley once again, this time showcasing more than 40 groups across 3 divisions – Color Guard, Percussion, and Winds.
The Sherando High School Band Boosters invites our local community to come out and support all of these groups. These are team sports, allowing students to work with their peers, challenge themselves, enhance their communication and time management skills, and entertain audiences of all kinds. Let’s celebrate their hard work and accomplishments during the 2025 season!

The Sherando High School Band Department is one of the largest and one of the most successful organizations at Sherando High School, and has been so throughout the school’s history since 1993. It consists of the Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Combo, Indoor Percussion, Indoor Color Guard, and opportunities for small chamber ensembles. All ensembles consistently earn Superior and Excellent ratings at regional festivals and competitions. Students are also connected with instructors and local professionals to further the education and musical excellence of each individual student. In addition, all of our students, parents, and staff members work collaboratively in an incredibly effective community approach that not only enriches the musical experiences of our students, but also enriches their entire high school experience.
Nothing is better than being a Sherando Warrior, and being a member of the HISTORIC and AWARD-WINNING Sherando Band!
