May 18, 2024 – Touch a Truck
Touch A Truck is a one day community event that will allow families the opportunity to see, touch, explore & learn about their favorite trucks, construction vehicles & public safety equipment in a safe supervised environment.
We will also have a HELICOPTER landing at our event once again at approximately 11:15!
Accompanying personnel will be present to answer questions and assist kids who would like to sit in the vehicles. This is also a wonderful opportunity to learn about public safety and fire prevention!
We will also have an instrument petting zoo led by our band students and the opportunity to spin with our color guard!
Bring your camera for lots of fun photos!
$5 per person entry fee.
May 24, 2024 – Golf Tournament and Live Music Event
The Sherando High School Band is thrilled to announce our very first Golf Tournament, and we want YOU to be a part of this exciting event! Get ready for a day of fun, camaraderie, and swinging for a good cause. Sign up to play or consider being a sponsor for this awesome event!
The Sherando High School Band Department is one of the largest and one of the most successful organizations at Sherando High School, and has been so throughout the school’s history since 1993. It consists of the Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Combo, Indoor Percussion, Indoor Color Guard, and opportunities for small chamber ensembles. All ensembles consistently earn Superior and Excellent ratings at regional festivals and competitions. Students are also connected with instructors and local professionals to further the education and musical excellence of each individual student. In addition, all of our students, parents, and staff members work collaboratively in an incredibly effective community approach that not only enriches the musical experiences of our students, but also enriches their entire high school experience.
