Join us on April 14th for a trip to Hershey, PA to experience both!
Here are the earliest details for our current planned spring day trip to Hershey’s Chocolate World & Hershey Theatre in Hershey, PA to see the Broadway tour of “& Juliet” on April 14, 2026. We will travel by charter bus to Hershey’s Chocolate World from SHS, enjoy dinner & a chocolate tour, then travel to the historic Hershey Theatre to watch the musical production.
Information packets are available in the band room and include more detailed information, including an itinerary and permission slips to sign and return. Please grab a packet from the music stand under the black box!

*Price is approximate and estimated based on filling a 55-passenger bus and while we await final 2026 rates from Hershey’s Chocolate World for dining (TBD in Jan 2026). If we are unable to fill a bus completely or dining rates are higher than expected, this rate may increase slightly. We have overestimated, with hopes that the price will actually be LOWER and that amount will come off of the last payment. Based on the time that the deposit is received and documented, there may be a waitlist for spots on the first bus. Depending upon the number of deposits received, there may be additional buses planned for the trip.
Refund policy: The $50 deposit for 48 students and 5 chaperones is non-refundable. Waitlisted deposits after that count are refundable. Once the final count is sent to Hershey Theatre and Chocolate World on March 1st, no refunds will be given.
Processing of Payments: All payments are processed through the Sherando High School Band Booster Association. Credit card payment is available with an additional processing fee. If you would like to use your student account balance, please contact the booster treasurer, Sam Kilkus at treasurer@sherandoband.org.
School Grades/Attendance Policy: By April 2026, all students are expected to be passing all of their classes in order to travel with the Sherando Band Department. This policy includes both overall grades and term grades. Students must also be up to date with their band fees. Students are expected to be in full attendance at school on both the trip date and the following day, even with a late return time the night before.
PLEASE COMPLETE THE INFORMATION PACKET TO RESERVE YOUR SPOT: $50 deposit for each attending person (student and chaperone). Forms for students – turn in your completed permission slip and student behavior and expectations form along with your deposit.
MAKE CHECKS PAYABLE TO “SHSBBA” and hand all payment and paperwork directly to Mrs. Stein so the order of receipt can be tracked.
